Why create an assignment

A pupil or student can always independently place work in his portfolio and in this way save valuable products or reflections. If you want to structure that process as a teacher, you can use Simulise assignments. You can use this assignment module:

  • to allow students to place products/work in their portfolio.
  • to allow students to reflect on the skills they have used for this assignment or task. They think about the process and the way they have worked on a project, for example. This is done by a rubric associated with the command. They can thus be assigned a badge (level) with the assignment. This score also appears in their competency diagram.
  • to provide feedback to the work by yourself or by others that a student invites.
The competency diagram is constructed on the basis of skills scores (in the form of a rubric). These scores are entered by both the student and the teacher on the basis of the assignment (the context in which the skill is scored). With the assignment, you can ask for reflection on the skill as well as for products that demonstrate this. Both are placed together in the portfolio.
