Group overview
Groups are intended for collaboration, sharing portfolio items, and viewing the progress of learners/students. Go to the Groups module to see your groups.
There are 3 different types of groups in Simulise:
- My Groups (green): These are the groups you are linked to in Simulise. In most cases, these will be the groups to which you are connected in the LMS. If no nightly synchronization takes place, you will find the groups here that have been manually created by your administrators in Simulise.
- My Workgroups (blue): Workgroups can be created by both students and teachers. Through workgroups, small-scale groups can be formed to collaborate on, for example, portfolio items. Under My Workgroups, you will find the groups in which you participate and/or have been invited.
- Open Workgroups: These are the groups you have access to (based on permissions) to monitor progress.
- My Virtual Groups (orange): A virtual group can be created by an administrator. A virtual group is intended to assign students tasks and track their progress.
Marking groups as favorites
If groups are automatically synchronized from your LMS, it is possible that you are linked to a large number of groups. To maintain clarity, it is possible to mark groups as favorites. When a group is marked as a favorite, the following occurs:
- A new tab called Favorites will appear next to All My Groups.
- Opening the Favorites tab ensures that only the marked groups are visible.
- When you leave the module and reopen it, you will land on the Favorites tab.
