How do I view my course and progress?

If a course is linked to you, you will gain access to the course module. This module shows all courses you have ever been linked to.

When you open a course, you will see the structure of the course as well as your progress within it. With this module, you can easily track your development!

Good to know

• If you have only one active course, you will be taken directly to the course view.
• If you are linked to more than one course, you will see an overview containing all your courses.

Course content

After opening a course, you will see its structure. At the top, the description provided for the course is displayed. Below that, an overview and a visual diagram show the progress of your course.

If a professional skill consists of only one aspect, that aspect will be shown directly.

Viewing progress

The progress column provides insight into your development within the course at the aspect level. Here you will see:

• Circles: The number of circles corresponds to the number of steps within the aspect.
  • Assessments are visually represented in the circles using colors that match the assessment results. The results correspond to the levels associated with a professional skill. Is a circle half coloured or striped? Then you already have positive assessments, but not yet enough to complete that stage. Hover over the circle to see how many you have and how many are needed.
  • Clicking on one of the circles navigates you to the corresponding page. On this page, you will see all achieved results and feedback for this aspect, with the most recent assessment at the top. The latest assessment is already expanded.

Next to the overview, the diagram is displayed. This diagram provides a visual representation of the progress column in the overview. By hovering your mouse over a development stage, you can view previous assessments for that stage. In addition, clicking on a step in the diagram, just like clicking on a step in the progress column, takes you to the corresponding page, where you will see the following:

• All given ratings, including the associated feedback.
• Ratings listed in chronological order.
• Your achieved result for the sub-aspect.
• A feedback field where you can communicate with the assessor(s). The assessor(s) can also post feedback here themselves.

Do you want to know which assessments have been made for a particular step? Hover over the steps to see the full history of assessments.

Aspect page

Clicking on the name of an aspect takes you to its own page. On this page, you will see all portfolio assignments available for you that belong to this aspect. From here, you can:

• View the status of the assignment
• Check how much feedback has been given on the assignment
• See the amount of evidence collected for the assignment
• Click the assignment to complete and submit it

You may also see an optional feedback field. On this page, you can contact the assessors for this aspect. By typing your feedback, all assessors linked to this aspect will receive a notification and can respond to your question.

Good to know

Would you like to use this only for personal notes? Switch on the visible only to me toggle. In that case, the message you typed will only be visible to you.

How to find portfolio assignments available for you

You can find portfolio assignments in two ways:

1. Navigate to the Assignments module, choose Filters, and switch on the Portfolio assignments toggle. You will now see only the portfolio assignments available for you that still need to be submitted.
2. Click on the name of the aspect in the Courses module. You will then be taken to the aspect page, where you can see which portfolio assignments are available for that aspect.

Good to know

On the page of an aspect you see the description of the aspect at the top, together with the diagram of your course.
