Why can I not create an assignment, rubric or template?

Do you not see the button to create a new assignment, rubric, template or skill? Then you probably do not have the author role for it. By default, teachers can use and hand out existing materials, but cannot create new ones.

Which role do I need?

• Assignment author: create assignments and add them to the school library. Without this role, you can hand out assignments made by others.
• Rubric author: create rubrics. Without this role, you can still link existing rubrics to an assignment.
• Page template author: create and hand out page templates. Without this role, you can still hand out existing templates.
• Skill author: create skills and skills diagrams. Without this role, you can still link existing skills to rubrics.

How do I get the role?

A Simulise administrator at your school can give you the role. Ask the Simulise administrator or the IT department of your school.
