Skills diagram

A skills diagram consists of various competencies. These competencies are linked to rubrics. When a rubric is filled in, the line of the competency will start growing in the skills diagram. The school can set up multiple skill diagrams per student. The skills diagram becomes visible to the student on the dashboard.

If multiple skills diagrams are available for the student, they can be opened by clicking on Skills, and then a diagram can be selected.

For each skill diagram it is possible to see how the score on an axis is structured. Standard periods are available, but specific periods can also be chosen. Both the student's and the assessing teacher's scores are transparent. Others are fellow students or external parties.

Detailed overview of skills and assignments per axis

You can see the structure of the scores by clicking on an axis. A new screen will open containing all skills and assignments that have been done or must be done for this skill.

The overview is divided into badges obtained with the associated assignments. The assessments of both the teacher and the student are listed next to each other.

By moving your mouse over it you can see how the beams are constructed.
Above you can see which badges can still be obtained. This is the gray part of the bar at the top.
Bar color codes :
Gray - not yet created: there are assignments that have been assigned to this student but have not yet been created or submitted.
Red - Not Assigned: This is the total score of the section for which the student has not been awarded the full score.
Orange - not yet marked: student has submitted work but this has not yet been marked by the teacher.
Other colors: this represents the score obtained on the different assignments or badges.

How is the score calculated?

The scores of the axes in a competency diagram are determined by the amount of skills that make up an axis of the diagram.

Example: If 3 skills fill a competency axis, this means that one skill fills 33% of the axis. A skill has different levels, in this example there are four. This means that per level 25% of that part of the ash is filled. In this case, 25% of 33% per level (platinum, gold, silver, bronze). Specifically, a silver badge obtained gives a score of 75% in the part of this skill that is 33% of the total.

The amount of assignments assigned to an individual student determines how many skills (and assignments they contain) are counted on an axis.
