The dashboard - Teachers
On the dashboard you will find important parts of Simulise for you via a number of tiles. Not everyone has the same tiles turned on by default. You can go directly to the part by clicking on it.
Your dashboard displays important parts of Simulise in several tiles. The visibility of these tiles can vary by user, and the layout also differs between teachers and students. You can directly access the corresponding section by clicking on a tile.
As a teacher, here’s what you'll see on your dashboard
The dashboard provides an overview of your activities in your portfolio and the tasks that still awaits you.
- Your Profile: Your profile photo, name, username, and "About Me" text are visible here. Your profile is accessible to anyone who views your dashboard.
- Received Notifications: The last five notifications you’ve received are displayed here.
- Assignments to Be Graded: This tile shows how many assignments you still need to grade. Click on it to navigate directly to those assignments.
- The Portfolio: The latest updates to your portfolio, up to a maximum of five, are displayed here.
- My Groups: You are automatically added to the same groups as those in your Learning Management System (LMS). This tile shows the first five groups you belong to. You can navigate to these groups or view all of them from here.
- Favorite Groups: If you’re part of many groups but have marked a few as favorites, they will appear here, making it easier to navigate quickly to the ones you need.
- Activity: If activated by the school, this block tracks your activity within Simulise, showing how many responses, likes, or updates you have posted in the Community (if available).
- Community: This section shows the most recent updates from the community. You can also navigate to the community or post a new update from here.
Customize your dashboard
If you prefer not to display all tiles on your dashboard, you can choose to limit them:
- Click on “Customize” next to the start button.
- A menu will appear, allowing you to select which tiles to make active or inactive.
For some tiles, deactivation is not possible; these settings are configured by the Simulise administrators in your environment. If you'd like a specific tile removed but cannot disable it yourself, please contact your administrators for further assistance.
