View portfolio of a student

As a teacher, you can view the portfolios of students if the student is linked to you through a group. Navigate to the group overview and select the group whose students' portfolios you want to view. Once you click on the group, select the Students tab. You will land on the page below:

To view a user's portfolio, select the Portfolio option under the profile photo. A new tab will open, landing you on the student's homepage.

On this page, you can also see the following:

  • When the student last logged in.
  • How many updates a student has posted: The updates are activities that have taken place in the portfolio.
  • Comments: How many comments the student has made on portfolio items of other students.
  • Badges: The number of badges the student has received. Clicking on this will take you to the overview of the student's earned badges.

View student portfolio by searching the student

If you want to simply view the portfolio of one student and you're not sure which group they belong to, you can use the global search function.

By default, you will search within the groups you are a member of. You will also have the option to search the entire school. If the global search option is enabled in your environment, you will be able to search for all users in your school. If this option is disabled, you will only be able to find external users.

Next, click on the name of the user. You will now be taken to the user's dashboard. From here, you can navigate to this user's portfolio.
