Download Submissions for assignments

In certain cases, such as preserving exam materials, it can be valuable for administrators to export all submitted evidence and results for an assignment. We provide this functionality to administrators.

  • Navigate to the Management module.
  • Select the Export module.
  • Under the Type dropdown, choose Submissions for Assignments.
  • Click Continue.

  • Name: This will be the name of the export and the Zip file that will be downloaded.
  • Groups: Under groups, you can specify which groups the export should be made from. This can include multiple groups.
  • Students: Here, you can indicate which students' submission materials need to be exported. This can be combined with groups. If both a group and individual students are selected, and the student is already part of the chosen group, a separate folder will not be created for the student; the group will be the determining factor.
  • Assignments (mandatory): Choose the assignment for which submission materials need to be exported. This can include multiple assignments.
  • Date Range: Specify the time period from which the submission materials should be exported.
  • Assignment Status: It is possible to export submission materials for assignments that have not yet been definitively submitted/graded. The status of the assignment will determine this. In this overview, you should indicate which statuses need to be exported.
  • Blogs: When exporting a blog, you can choose between two formats: PDF or TXT.
  • Start: Click on "Start," and the export will be created based on the selected settings.

The export is always generated in a ZIP file and follows a specific structure. The export will look like this:

  1. If you've chosen only groups: Export Name -> Assignment Name -> Groups -> Assignment Status -> Student Name -> Submission Materials.
  2. If you've chosen groups and students: Export Name -> Assignment Name -> Groups and Assignment Status (individual students) -> Assignment Status (selected for groups) -> Student Name -> Submission Materials.

The submitted items will also include the assignment in PDF format by default, which contains:

  • The results for the rubrics.
  • The feedback provided for the assignment.
