Working on a lesson plan

A lesson plan is a collection of assignments that belong together. The assignments from your lesson plan are displayed in the assignments module. It is possible to work on multiple lesson plans at the same time.

There are lesson plans where:

  • You complete assignments in a fixed order. The sequence determines which assignments must be completed first before the next assignment becomes available.
    • The assignment can be found in your assignments module with the status Not Yet Available.
  • Group selection: Assignments in a lesson plan are not sequential. The author of the lesson plan determines how many assignments must be completed as a minimum and the maximum number that can be completed.

Lesson plans can be viewed in two different ways:

  • Filter by a lesson plan in the assignments module: This view displays only the assignments linked to the selected lesson plan.
  • Via the Plans tab at the top of the assignments module: Access all details related to the lesson plan from this dedicated tab.

To fully view the lesson plan, click on it. You will now see the contents of the lesson plan, including:

  • Metadata, such as labels associated with the lesson plan.
  • Start date and deadline for the entire lesson plan.
  • Start dates and deadlines for individual assignments within the lesson plan.
  • Number of assignments that need to be completed within a choice group.
  • Order of the lesson plan, showing the sequence of assignments.
  • Your current progress within the lesson plan.

Lesson plans and assignments that need to be completed first are at the top. There may also be a deadline for which you must submit the assignment. The teacher determines whether you can still hand in after this due date.
