Archive/ delete an assignment
Are there assignments you no longer need and would like to remove from the library? Assignments cannot be deleted directly; they must first be archived. This means that archived assignments:
- Can no longer be assigned to students (students who were already working on the assignment can still complete it).
- Will no longer appear directly in the library but can be retrieved using filters.
- Can still be copied.
- Retain the assigned results on rubrics, competencies, and feedback for the students.
If an assignment hasn’t been used by students, it can be deleted directly from the archive.
Deleting an Assignment
Only administrators can delete assignments that have already been completed by students. When an assignment is deleted:
- The assignment receives the status "deleted" and can be restored via the Restore function.
- All existing connections to the assignment are removed, meaning students can no longer complete it.
- The assignment is removed from any lesson plans it was linked to.
After this, an administrator can also choose to permanently delete the assignment. This will result in:
- The assignment being permanently deleted, making it irretrievable and no longer findable.
- The results associated with the assignment are removed for everyone who completed it.
