How do I use labels in my portfolio?

Who is this for: students

With labels you give your work items and pages a characteristic, such as a subject, school year or topic. You can then filter your portfolio by label and quickly find your work. Your teacher can also find your work more easily.

Adding a label

  1. Create a new work item or a new page, or open an existing item.
  2. Under Labels, choose one or more labels from the list.
  3. Save your item.

Good to know

Your school decides which labels you can choose. Sometimes you may also create your own labels. Can't see any labels, or can't create your own? Then your school has not enabled this.

Filtering by label

Go to your portfolio and use the filters. Choose the label you want to filter by. You now only see work with that label. You can also filter by label in your Assignments, if your school has enabled this.

Good to know

Do you submit work for an assignment that has labels? Then your submitted work often gets those labels automatically.

Good to know

The filters only show labels and categories that contain some of your work. The Deleted items filter is always shown. This means a classmate may see different filter options than you.
