Adding labels to modules

If a category is active within a module, the underlying labels can be used in that specific module. When creating an Assignment, Lesson Plan, Rubric, Template, or Competency, you can click on the View More Settings button. Below this, the active categories and selectable labels for the module will be displayed.


  • Clicking on the name of the category opens a dropdown menu where you can search. If one of the labels is selected, further filtering will occur within the other categories to determine which labels should be displayed.

Once the labels are linked, they become visible within the specific module. The first five labels are displayed directly in the module's header. If more than five labels are linked, a View More Settings button will appear. Clicking this button allows you to see all the linked labels.

Assigning Labels to Students

  • Labels Linked to Assignments: If labels are associated with an assignment, these labels will automatically be applied to the submitted work.
  • Labels Linked to Page Templates: If labels are connected to a page template, they will also be transferred to the students, provided these labels are allowed for use in the portfolio.
