My groups
If your school uses nightly synchronization with the SAS (Student Administration System, such as Magister, Som, etc.), the groups in Simulise should align with those in your SAS. In Simulise, you can easily see which teachers and students are part of your groups. When you are in the same group:
- Teachers can assign Assignments, Lesson Plans, and Templates to you.
- Teachers and students can navigate to your Portfolio and view portfolio items if your privacy settings allow them to.
- Teachers can gain insight into the status of all your Assignments, Lesson Plans, and Templates.
Viewing Groups
You will typically be linked to multiple groups in Simulise. On the Dashboard, five groups are displayed by default. To view all groups, navigate to the Groups module in the left-hand menu.
- Click the Star icon to mark a group as a favorite. Favorite groups are always displayed first in a separate tab.
- When you reopen the module, your favorite groups will be shown first for easy access.
Click on the group which you would like to see:
- Community: View the timeline of this group and interact with documents shared in the community.
The Community module is only visible if it is enabled for your environment.
- Files: Access all files shared within this group on the Community timeline.
- Students: View profiles, portfolios, and activities of the students in the group.
- Teachers: View profiles, portfolios, and activities of the teachers in the group.
